Universeum Working Groups
Abstract of WG
Introduction
On Tuesday April 22th 2025, the Teaching with Objects website was launched. This website is the result of a recent Erasmus Plus project that originated from the Universeum Network. It is a platform dedicated to object-based teaching and learning with objects from (university) museums and collections. We aim to establish an active network and community of practice, and we hope you join us in this endeavour!
On https://teachingwithobjects.org/, you find a wide range of articles and resources: reflections on learning and teaching practices, practical guides, and reviews on various aspects of teaching with objects, as well as a "directory" of practitioners to connect with.
Help us build a community and make the website better
Now that the website is up and running, we want to invite you, curators, teaching practitioners, students and other users to critically review our work. What are your thoughts about the platform, and more importantly, about the network and community? How can we improve the website, collect new contributions and expand the network?
The workshop will be set up as a moderated brainstorm, with room for ideas and reflections on the platform, and on sharing methodologies, instruments and experiences with teaching with objects.
